My favourite youtube girls

Youtube Girls aka ma life. I just wanted to write a post about my favourite beauty gurus and why I love them just incase anyone is wondering...unlikely but hey.

CARLI BYBEL

http://www.youtube.com/user/CarliBel55

This dark haired blue eyed beauty is Carli, one of the most popular beauty gurus on youtube. She has over 1,200,000 subscribers and 200 videos.

I think the main reason Carli is so popular is because she's living every preteen/teenage girls' fantasy. She's ridiculously gorgeous, has an amazing body, she's a full time makeup artist with an extremely enviable shoe and jewellery collection and to top it all off she has a Ken lookalike boyfriend who also happens to be a personal trainer...with a youtube of topless videos.
If that wasn't enough he frequently posts instagrams and videos about how much he loves Carli and they do make my heart and a lot of 12 year olds melt a little bit and post things like 'omg bret I love how much u love carli <3333 i wish i had a boyf like u ur gawjus!!'

Anyway, Carli's videos consist of makeup and hair and fashion videos. Personally, I think the makeup is a bit overrated but her hair and fashion videos are unbelievable juicy as well as her instagram and her blog. (Check them both out) I think this girl is just so stunning that she fascinates people....or at least she fascinates me...hope das not creepy.

TRISHA PAYTAS

http://www.youtube.com/user/blndsundoll4mj

Trisha, my boo. To say I'm obsessed with this girl is probably an understatement. She has over 500,000 subscribers but millions of views on her videos. Trish makes videos about her life and experiences and all of her purchases which are I'm always envious of.

So why did this fascination with Trisha begin? She seems like a real person unlike these other perfect youtube girls who seem like they couldn't possibly be real. First of all, she's one of the only youtube girls who is curvy and lovin it. This just makes me love her because it makes her so much more relatable since we are now aware that she actually does eat unlike other youtube girls who seem to only consume 'green detox juice'. Secondly, Trisha makes mistakes and doesn't care about sharing them with her audience. She doesn't have a supermodel boyfriend, she used to be a stripper, she's had severe money trouble...all of it just makes her seem a lot more believable. Thirdly, she loves Hello Kitty which is a major plus in itself as I love Hello Kitty and anything kawaii.

Lastly, I think the best thing about Trish is she's a brilliant actress. Every so often she posts videos where she's acting, saying something extremely controversial and pretending it's her own view in order to get more views and more subscribers. e.g. 'Do dogs have brains?' 'Surely Hitler wasn't that bad?'

This girl is an expert at branding herself and getting herself known like...it's ridiculous. She's a plus size lingerie model, a reality tv star, a youtube girl, a largely followed instagram page, she's written 2 books and has now released a perfume. I recently ordered and read 'the history of my insanity' (in about half an hour it was so well written) and honestly it made me love her even more.

As well as this her blog is full of inspiring, well wishing messages to all of her young fans who relate to her in any sense. I think this blog is especially popular because, since her views have heard about Trisha's very real struggles in life, the idea that she has picked herself up to be so positive means a lot more than someone who seemingly leads a perfect life telling you to be happy.

Trisha if you ever happen to read this you're just great and would be someone I'd invite to my fantasy dinner party.

p.s. I watch loads more youtube girls so they will be featured in other posts

Catfish

Incase you've been living in a bit of a hole and don't visit any kind of social media, 'catfishing' is the act of using a fake identity to woo someone online...

So, this whole catfish hype started when the presenter of the TV show, Nev, was catfished himself by some absolute psycho of a woman called Angela. Long story short, Nev, a photographer, started receiving these paintings from a little girl, Abi, who was a fan of his work. As time went on this little girl added him on facebook along with her mum, her brother, her uncle and her bloody pet chinchilla and eventually her half-sister Megan. So Megan and Nev start talking and fall for eachother *violin plays* but soon Nev starts seeing holes in her story i.e. the recordings of her singing she sent him turned out to be random girls on youtube, he keeps asking to meet her and she keeps being suspiciously busy la la la moving on at the very end of the documentary we find out that this woman, Angela, a 40 something woman who is Abi's mum was the real painter and the real owner of Megan's profile.

Sorry about this repulsively long summary but anyway this documentary lead this guy Nev and his 'film maker buddy Max' to make Catfish the TV show aka the funniest show on television.

It's hilarious in two ways: firstly, the stories are just unbelievable and secondly, the whole layout of the show is comically ludicrous. So basically these people call up Nev and Max like

'Man I just don't know what to do I've never met my fiance....like that sounds bad but we've been speaking for six years now and we were about to meet but didn't get round to it :( I've also only seen like 2 pics but...they must be legit come on.'

or of course my personal favourite

'Bow wow is ma boyfriend...we aint met yet but it's def him coz he sent me 10 thousand dollahs holla'

So of course to keep up their catfish gig, the catfishers refuse to meet for months and even years on end and then, suddenly, our hot spice Nev over here just gives them a ring and says 'Hey man i'm with your friend betsy and they really want to meet you!'

Then the catfish just goes 'Cool I'll see you asap!'

...........

is this a joke?

Why would you spend so much time on this facade if you're just gonna go you know what never mind let's meet up the second some random guy gives you a ring! LIES I TELL YOU, LIES.

Then they meet up with the psycho who has been catfishing them and low and behold, 9 times out of 10 it is some random person with some completely irrelevant excuse for their actions. And THEN Good old Nev and Max go back the next day and talk to this catfish and offer them advice...why? I have no idea. It usually goes something like this:

Catfish: 'I was bullied in high school so I started the fake profile and I connected with Jenna and this happened.'

Nev and Max: 'We understand you just gotta move forward'

How does this make any sense?? If you had been bullied why would it make you ruin someone else's life by convincing them to fall in love with a lie?

No idea. This show does not make sense.

Despite this i find myself watching every single episode because of the pure hilarity...and of course the eye candy that is Nev and Max. Yum.

Anyway, if you've made it to the end of this very long post I hope ya enjoyed it,

Nina

Introduction

So I thought I would start a blog...as if people want to know what I have to say.
It's literally going to me writing my opinions on random topics just because I feel the need to type it out.
Anyway, read more if you want! or leave...haters gonna hate.
